Seeking Scholars, Artists & Presenting Participants

Accepting Applications Through July 15th, 2025

We Invite:

The Delphic Preview Committee invites proposals for live presentations and performances inspired by the Hellenic spirit and the enduring values of the Delphic Ideal. This multi-day gathering, to be held at the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, D.C., will bring together scholars, artists, educators, and cultural practitioners committed to reimagining the intersection of classical wisdom and contemporary expression.

We welcome proposals in the following formats:

  • 30–90 minute presentations including scholarly papers, lecture-demonstrations, research-based workshops, or pedagogical engagements

  • 0–20 minute performances in the disciplines of dance, music, theater, poetry, or ceremonial practice

  • Site-specific offerings designed for the outdoor grounds or unique architectural features of CHS

  • Interdisciplinary or immersive seminars that integrate multiple fields or invite participatory modes of experience

Presenters should be prepared to engage a diverse audience of scholars, students, performers, and the broader cultural community. Proposals should clearly outline the intended content and structure of the presentation, its relevance to the themes of the Delphic Ideal, and any required audio-visual or spatial needs. The Committee is especially interested in proposals that explore innovative or cross-disciplinary methods, and those that contribute to the revival of Delphic ideals through embodied, intellectual, or experiential inquiry.
